About AEORival
AEORival runs open boards for local trades. Every business we can verify in a market gets a profile, free, whether or not it ever pays us. A small sponsored tier sits above that list, and it says what it is.
The two surfaces
Each board has exactly two parts, and the difference between them is the whole product.
- The A-to-Z list is every published business in that city and trade, in alphabetical order. It is free to be on, it cannot be bought, and its order cannot be influenced. This is also the list machines read.
- The sponsored tier is advertising. Rank in it is trailing 30-day spend and nothing else, every amount is shown on the row, and it is labelled as sponsored in the page text and in the structured data. It is not a quality ranking, a recommendation, or a certification.
We publish the neutral list in machine-readable form on every board precisely so that an AI engine or a search crawler quoting us quotes the complete market, not the part that paid. The rules page states this as a commitment, not a preference.
Where the listings come from
Business profiles are built from public sources — principally Google Places, which supplies the name, address, phone number, published opening hours, and public review score and count. Some listings also carry a short description quoted from the business's own website, always attributed as their words.
Where a business has no sourced description, we say nothing rather than write one. Where we can only place a business by its trade and neighbourhood, that is all the description says. Nothing on a profile is written by us on the business's behalf, and nothing is invented to fill a gap.
What we verify, and what we don't
- Verified: that a claimed profile belongs to the business, by email at the business's own domain or manual check. Only verified owners can bid.
- Passed through, not verified: review scores, opening hours and addresses, which are as published by the source and can be out of date. Check before you rely on them.
- Never assessed: the quality of anyone's work. We are a board, not a review site or a certification body. Sponsored position says only that a business paid.
Counts and statistics
Every number on this site is read from the live database at the moment the page is built. Where we summarise a market — average rating, weekend opening, which areas have the most businesses — the figure describes the businesses listed on that board, and the sentence says so. We do not extrapolate to the city as a whole, and we do not publish a statistic drawn from too small a sample to mean anything.
We do not publish prices for work. Bid amounts are advertising spend and say nothing about what a job costs, so we never present them as though they did.
Where we operate
24 boards across 4 cities: London, Singapore, Dallas–Fort Worth and Kuala Lumpur & Klang Valley. Boards seeded from map data cover the working catchment of a city rather than its administrative boundary, which is why two of them are named for their metro area. We open a new city when enough businesses there make a board worth reading — you can tell us where you are.
Who runs it
AEORival is independently run and self-funded. It takes no commission on work booked, sells no leads, and has no advertising relationship with any business on any board beyond the disclosed sponsored tier.
Corrections, removals and questions go to wellnickchin@gmail.com. If a profile is wrong we will fix it; if you want a business removed from a board, email from a verifiable address and we remove it and suppress future contact, whether or not it was ever claimed.
